The first time old stone. set foot in New Orleans, the word funk made sense all of a sudden, there’s no other place this music could have originated. It had to be from that unctious, dank swamp where all American music was born.

Afro Son Cubano
The 50s and 60s was a time of revolution all over the world. Colonialism was coming to an end and there was yet another exchange of musical inspiration between Cuba and West Africa, this time the influence came from west to east.
